Required Classes:

• 2 contemporary classes

•1 hip hop or tap class

• 2 ballet classes OR 1 ballet & 1 jazz class

• Company Choreography

• All levels of Modern Company will have a minimum of 3 pieces of choreography

• Performances: A Winter Ballet, Parker Project Benefit, Embody, and Recital. UBC, YAGP, The Connecticut & Contemporary Classic, and/or additional competitions/performances may be offered.

RDC MODERN COMPANY

is composed of outstanding and dedicated dancers selected from auditions and by invitation. The goal for this ensemble is to provide technical training and varied performance opportunities through competitions and community events. Each dancer refines and expands their personal vocabulary and artistry through exposure to guests artists and an in-house faculty of passionate, professional and educated instructors.

Company dancers present a wide repertoire of choreography based on modern, jazz and contemporary. It is our goal to give each dancer a greater appreciation and understanding of the art of dance .
